Downtown Christmas parade Dec. 1

Breakfast with Santa is 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. that morning.

— The 2012 Siloam Springs Christmas Parade hosted by Heritage League will take place Dec. 1.

The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. at Dogwood and Tulsa streets, will proceed east on Tulsa to Mount Olive Street, north on Mount Olive to Jefferson Street, east on Jefferson to South Maxwell, north on Maxwell to Main Street and through downtown ending at Benton Street.

Those interested in participating in the parade must complete a float entry form by Nov. 25.

Forms are available online at www.siloamchamber.com as well as at the chamber office, the Herald-Leader, Creative Corner, Occasions, Jepson Drug Store, Banjos, and Pearson and Wallace LawOffice in Siloam Springs. Parade participants are asked to incorporate this year’s theme, “A Candy Cane Christmas,” into their floats.

Breakfast with Santa

The Heritage League also will host the 7th Annual Breakfast with Santa 8-11 a.m. Dec. 1 at the Community Building.

The drop-in event will include donuts and juice, crafts, write a letter to Santa and pictures with Santa.

After the event, participants will receive specialletters from Santa.

Ticket prices at the door are $10 per child. Proceeds from the event will be used to provide scholarships as well as help local families in need and local nonprofits.
