Ravenwood Clinic offering small-animal care

Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic, a complementary facility to the Siloam Springs Veterinary Clinic, opened last month at 2024 Ravenwood Plaza in Siloam Springs.

The new clinic was opened by Brian Shackelford and Richard McCarver, owners of Siloam Springs Veterinary Clinic, to enhance client and patient service at both locations.

According to McCarver, the facilities are similar, but the operations at the Ravenwood clinic will be different.

"We wanted to focus on two big concerns from clients: being able to make appointments and having a closer relationship with the family's veterinarian," McCarver said.

"This clinic is small animal only and appointment only, with the exceptions of emergencies, and will be staffed mostly by the same people," McCarver said.

Services offered at Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic include small animal surgery, medicine and preventative care. Extended office hours are in the plans, to accommodate those clients that work during regular business hours.

"We rely on client feedback to adjust our operating procedures," Shackelford said. "We are already seeing a positive response to this clinic."

"From an owner's perspective, this allows us to diversify our business and gives us more business confidence," Shackelford said.

"We're not new to the game in this town, we're trying to improve the game," McCarver said.

Appointments can be made by calling the clinic at 373-1141. Office hours are currently 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
