A West Siloam Springs, Okla., city councilman was arrested Aug. 10 after police were called to his home on a domestic dispute call.
Police were called to the home of Charles Mayhew, 48, where he was arrested and and charged with domestic violence against a person living in the same household, interfering with a 911 call and threats or intimidation to officers, said Larry Barnett, West Siloam Springs police chief.
The event escalated once police arrived and Mayhew began to threaten officers, police said.
A probable cause statement had not been released by the Delaware County (Okla.) District Attorney's office as of press time.
Mayhew bonded out of the Delaware County Jail Aug. 11. A court date is set for Aug. 27.
