Seventh-grade girls win two

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade girls basketball team picked up two more wins last week, as the Lady Panthers won at Huntsville 26-23 and then turned around Wednesday and earned a road win at Farmington 13-6.

On Tuesday against Huntsville, Madison Pharr scored 14 points, while Morgan Winesburg added eight points as the Lady Panthers (4-2) defeated the Lady Eagles, while Abby Hornbuckle and Bridget Ponticello had two each.

On Wednesday, seven different Lady Panthers scored baskets as they defeated Farmington. Shelby Johnson led the Lady Panthers with 3 points, and six other players -- Pharr, Winesburg, Maddie Vaughn, Brooklyn Shreve and Jael Harried -- each scored two points.

Siloam Springs also outscored Farmington 8-0 in the extra quarter. Gabby Curtis, Maci Davis, Ericka Galloway and Brooke Henderson each scored two points.

Boys

The Panthers won at Huntsville on Tuesday 31-20. Seven of the eight players scored, led by Thad Wright's 10 points. Dominic Alfaro had seven, while Jordan Stewart scored five, Ethan Barton four, Gage Weaver two, Jackson Wilbanks two and Dawson Smith one.

On Wednesday, the Panthers defeated Farmington 31-22 and improved to 6-0 on the season.

Wright led the Panthers with 13 points, while Ransom Van Asche had 11, Drew Vachon five and Weaver two.

Farmington won the fifth quarter game 9-8. Barton led the Panthers with four points, while Luke Engle and Tanner Garcia each scored two.

Up next

The Panthers and Lady Panthers hosted a jamboree on Saturday. Results were not available at presstime. Both teams play at Prairie Grove at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
