Seventh-grade teams sweep field

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade boys basketball teams won all four of their games on Saturday at their own jamboree held at the Panther Activity Center.

The Siloam Springs A Team defeated Gentry 38-9 and then beat Gravette 32-15 to improve to 8-0.

Against Gentry, Thad Wright scored eight points to lead the Panthers, while Gage Weaver, Drew Vachon, Ransom Van Asche and Ethan Barton all scored six points apierce.

Against Gravette, Wright and Vachon led with eight points, while Van Asche scored six points.

In the B team games, Siloam Springs defeated Gentry 21-16 and thumped Gravette 42-12.

Ethan Barton led the Panthers with eight points, while Zach Haley had seven against Gentry.

Barton poured in 16 points in the win against Gravette, while Jackson Wilbanks had eight and Tyler Sharp six.

Girls

The seventh-grade girls also swept their competition at Saturday's jamboree.

Siloam Maroon defeated Gentry 2 by score of 10-4. Five players -- Bridget Ponticello, Madi Linch, Hannah Birkes, Yosemite Zamora and Maci Davis -- each had two points.

Siloam Maroon then defeated Gravette 2 22-10. Birkes led with 10 points,

Siloam Gray defeated Gentry 1 22-21. Jael Harried and Madison Pharr each scored six points in the victory.

Siloam Gray also beat Gravette 1 30-21. Brooklyn Shreve led with eight points, while Pharr had six.

Both seventh-grade teams play today on the road at Prairie Grove in their last games before the Christmas break.
