Arvest hires Butler as commercial ag banker

Austin Butler has been hired as a commercial banker specializing in agriculture lending at Arvest Bank in Siloam Springs. Tammy Engle, loan manager in Siloam Springs, announced Butler's hiring Dec. 23.

"Austin's experience and background in agriculture, particularly poultry operations, make him a great fit for this role," Engle said. "I am excited to work with Austin as he provides lending knowledge and guidance to our customers in Siloam Springs that will help them achieve their financial goals."

In his role as commercial banker, Butler will work to assist customers with various financing needs. He will also work to provide banking services and products that simplify financial management and serve as the point of contact for all of the customer's needs.

Butler most recently served as a broiler operations manager for Green Country Farms. Prior to that he was a manager for Crestview Farms, and has also worked for Simmons Foods in Siloam Springs. He currently partners with his family in the operation of a cattle farm and a Tyson Noel poultry farm.

A native of Siloam Springs, Butler graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 2006 and received his bachelor's degree in agricultural business from the University of Arkansas in 2010. He and his wife, Mandy, have a daughter, Sadie Elizabeth, and attend Sager Creek Community Church.
