June tax receipts

Siloam Springs saw a $36,000 increase in its sales tax receipts in June.

Last month the city received $507,151 compared to $471,214 in June of 2013, according to City & Town Magazine.

The city's share of receipts from Benton County's sales tax decreased more than $20,000.

Receipts were $199,319 for June compared to $219,662 in June of 2013.

The city's sales tax receipts come from its 2 percent sales tax. The total sales tax rate in Siloam Springs is 9.5 percent.

All but 10 percent of the city's sales tax receipts are allocated to items such as street infrastructure, police and fire departments and to pay bonds on the sewer plant. The rest goes to administration.

The share of county sales tax receipts pays on water utility infrastructure bonds.

• Pea Ridge, $34,449

• Rogers, $2.68 million

• Springdale, $1.9 million

Bentonville had a decrease in sales tax receipts. Its June receipts were $1,428,710.
