Freshmen shut out at Rogers Heritage

ROGERS -- The Siloam Springs ninth-grade football team dropped to 0-3 on the season after a 21-0 loss to Rogers Heritage at Gates Stadium.

The Panthers trailed 7-0 after a drive stalled at the War Eagles' 10-yard line right before halftime. The Panthers' also had another promising drive end at the 20-yard line.

The War Eagles outscored the Panthers 14-0 in the second half.

The Panthers host Springdale Lakeside on Thursday with kickoff at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Eighth grade

ROGERS -- The eighth-grade team improved to 2-1 with a 20-6 win against Rogers Oakdale/Lingle in the eighth-grade game on Thursday.

Kaiden Thrailkill scored two touchdowns for Siloam Springs.

The eighth-grade team host Springdale Lakeside on Thursday with kickoff at 5:30 p.m.

Seventh grade

SPRINGDALE -- The seventh-grade team improved to 2-1 overall with a 24-8 win last Monday at Springdale George.

Gage Weaver scored three touchdowns, while Tanner Broyles ran in two two-point conversions and threw for another two-point conversion to Reed Wilbanks.

The seventh-grade team hosts Farmington on Tuesday with kickoff at approximately 5:30 p.m.
