FAYETTEVILLE -- Two Siloam Springs girls track and field athletes competed Friday in the John McConnell Invitational held at the University of Arkansas.
Siloam Springs senior Taylor Gay competed in the pole vault and finished with a vault of 9 feet, 7 inches, which was good for sixth place. Gay's vault trailed Lexi Weeks of Cabot, 14-1 1/4; Tori Weeks, Cabot, 13-2 1/4; Bailee McCorkle, Greenwood, 11-6 1/2; Isabel Neal, Bentonville, 11-2 1/2; and Jade Donnell of Bentonville, 10-0 3/4.
Siloam Springs junior Alexis Duffy competed in the high jump and finished second with a mark of 4 feet, 11 3/4 inches. Elise Randels of Rogers finished first at 5-4 1/4.
