Johnny Leroy Cox

Johnny Leroy Cox, 67, of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died April 15, 2015, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark.

He was born July 20, 1947, in Jay, Okla., to Sylvester Cox and Nellie Duncan Cox. He was retired Supervisor for Simmons.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and one brother.

He is survived by his wife Susie of the home; three daughters, Marty Grey Cox of Rogers, Ark., Julie Ann Cox of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Beronica Calcott of Colcord, Okla.; three sons, Abie Cox and Cody Calcott, both of Siloam Springs, and Kevin Cox of Decatur, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; and a brother, Wesley Cox of Decatur.

A memorial service was held April 20, 2015, at Overdrive Church in Siloam Springs with Pastor Steve Welch officiating.

Lulu Forman

Lula Forman, 81, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Colcord, Okla.

Funeral services were at New Clouds Creek Church on April 21. Burial was at Clouds Creek Cemetery.

Bert Roland Jones

Bert Roland Jones, 85, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died April 16, 2015, in his home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Ira Lester Jones and Bonnie West Jones.

He was a dairy farmer and self-employed electrician. He married Joyce Sass Steele on July 22, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and son Johnnie Jones.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Ginger Rusch of Tracy, Calif., Sherry Carder of Chandler, Okla., Jeanie Jones of Warr Acres, Okla., and Janetta Feerick of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a son, Bert Jones Jr. of Branson, Mo.; three stepsons, Scott Kickland of Idaho, Joel Kickland of Hudson, S.D., and Loren Kickland of Chadron, Neb.; three stepdaughters, Deanna Steele of Apache Junction, Ariz., Debra Bartlett of Janesville, Wis., and Roberta Steele of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Dan Jones of Jenks, Okla.; and a sister, Leona Parker of Bristow, Okla.

A memorial service was held April 21, 2015, at Siloam Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastor Tony Cash officiating.

Mayra A. Lopez

Mayra A. Lopez, 48, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at her home.

She was born Feb. 15, 1967, in Cuidad del Carmen, Mexico, to Juan and Thelma Garcia.

She married Fernando Lopez in June of 2005 in Siloam Springs. She was employed at Simmons Foods. She loved her family and friends and was there to give advice or help others. She enjoyed yard work, cooking and was one to laugh and joke around.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; three children, Miguel Angel Lopez Sandoval of Germany, Gloria Wendy Lopez Sandoval of Siloam Springs and Mayra Lopez Sandoval of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren; two brothers, Mauricio and Juventovo Sandoval; and seven sisters, Idalia Sandoval, Lila Sandoval, Sara Sandoval, Argelia Sandoval, Julia Sandoval, Thelma Sandoval and Clara Sandoval.

The funeral was held April 21, 2015, at Backstrom - Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Calvin E. " Bubba" McCain

Calvin E. "Bubba" McCain, 44, of Gentry, Ark., died April 19, 2015, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark.

He was born Aug. 20, 1970, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Calvin W. McCain and Joquitta Cook McCain.

He married Deonn Johnson on June 22, 1991. He was a member of the Bentonville Breakfast Club on their scare team.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Kendra McCain and Sierra McCain, both of Gentry; a son, Derek McCain and wife Desiree of Gentry; two granddaughters; his father, Calvin McCain and wife Judi of Arizona; his mother, Joquitta Boyd and husband Jim of Gentry; four sisters, Marnie Cripps of Gentry, Stephanie Hamilton of Siloam Springs, Ark., Melissa McCain of Springdale, Ark., and Joe Pattee of Arizona; and four brothers, Andy Boyd of Gentry, and Rick, Mike and John Downing all of Arizona.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, at First Christian Church in Gentry with Pastor Jim Whisenant officiating.

Betty Carol Scates

Betty Carol Sewell Scates, 88, was born on March 20, 1927 in Clarendon, Texas, and was welcomed into heaven on April 20, 2015 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas due to a heart condition. Betty Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wesley "Shorty" and Nell Lou Tice Sewell; her husband, Johnnie "Sonny" Harvey Scates; and one son, John Robert Scates.

Betty Carol was school district treasurer and secretary to the Superintendent of Huntsville Schools for 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Huntsville since 1942. Betty Carol brought seven children into this world and loved each one of them equally. She was honest, caring and loved to laugh. She loved food of all kinds but grilled cheese sandwiches were a favorite as a young child at her Daddy's café. She also loved Lavada's potato salad, Jana's anything (cause anything Jana made was great to Betty Carol), or just a big pot of homemade soup. All were just good times as long as it was combined with family and friends.

She is survived by three sons, Alan Scates and wife Shauna of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Mark Scates and wife Georgia of Henefer, Utah, and Cory Scates and wife Lydia of Springdale, Arkansas; three daughters, Diane Cox and husband Terry of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Lavada Parker and husband Danny of Huntsville, Arkansas and Jana Ramirez and husband Gilbert of Huntsville; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Huntsville, Arkansas with Pastor Jack McCarty officiating. Aristeo Villalobos

Aristeo Villalobos, 85, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died April 17, 2015, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Balleza Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jesus Villalobos and Amelia Olivas Villalobos.

He married Ernestina Fontes Javalera 53 years ago. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs.

He was preceded in death by two sons.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Pedro Villalobos and wife Lilia of Siloam Springs, Ark., Maria Concepcion Villalobos of Mexico, Jesus Villalobos and wife Lourdes of Springdale, Ark., and Jorge Villalobos and wife Anel of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Janeth Rubio and husband Javier of Springdale; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Macximo Villalobos of Mexico; and sisters Matilde, Amelia Guadalupe and Altagracia, all of Mexico.

Rosary was held on April 21, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs. Mass will be held on April 22, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs with Father Salvador Marquez-Munoz officiating.
