The second annual Community Glow Ride was last Saturday evening in downtown Siloam Springs.

The event host, Bridges to Wellness, was joined by sponsors Arvest and DaySpring to put on the event. Bridges to Wellness officials estimated that there were more than 130 riders at the event.

The riders enjoyed music, ice cream and the company of other cyclist as they painted their faces and adorned their bicycles with glow sticks for the four mile ride. Many riders also participated in the costume contest complete with Superman outfits, kilts, purple skin-tight body suits, glow worms, and even some "Dr. Who" themed outfits, for the Whovians out there.

Also Ryan Bratton and Timm Derrickson, of Northwest Arkansas Trials, set up and demonstrated an obstacle course for bike trails. This sport uses a bike with no seat to navigate very tricky obstacles with a mix of riding on two wheels or hopping on one. Bratton is also the 2015 North American Bike Trial champion rider, Derrickson said. The audience was not short on applause as Bratton traversed the course by hopping from place to place on his back tire on wooden obstacles that are anywhere from two to nearly seven feet tall.
