Golden Eagles roll to fourth-straight sweep

HOUSTON -- Senior Audrey Dearien posted a game-high 14 kills, and the John Brown volleyball team used 10 service aces and a .569 attack percentage to roll past Southwestern (Kan.) for its fourth-consecutive sweep on Friday at the Jerabeck Athletic Center.

Serving four of JBU's 10 aces, Dearien led all players in terminations for the fifth time this season. The Golden Eagles (4-1) also received seven kills from senior Libby Blasingame and junior Karis Buff in the victory. Sophomore Beth Brankle tallied 10 digs to lead all players defensively.

JBU finished the St. Thomas (Texas) Invitational on Saturday with a pair of games against Wiley (Texas) and Southwest (N.M.). Results were not available at presstime.
