Seventh-grade girls basketball team defeats Springdale Sonora

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade girls defeated Springdale Sonora on Monday 36-18 at Panther Arena.

The Lady Panthers led 11-2 after the first quarter and 22-6 at halftime. Siloam Springs led 34-15 going into the fourth quarter.

Sydney Moorman led the Lady Panthers with 17 points, while Julia Jackson and Micah Curry each had five, Mia Hevener three, Faith Howie and Jaedyn Soucie with two each and Quincy Efurd and Jadyn Still each with one.

In Saturday's jamboree, Siloam Springs Maroon beat Gentry 22-19. Jackson led with eight points, while Still had six, Curry four and Hevener and Sydney Moorman each with two. Maroon lost to Gravette with Hevener scoring six, Makenna Thomas four and Moorman with two.

Siloam Springs White split a pair of games at Saturday's Jamboree. White lost to Gentry 16-13, with Hattie Price scoring four points, Chelsea McWhorter three and Jordan Rush, Maggie Torres each with two. White beat Gravette 8-6 with Torres scoring six points and Price two.

Boys

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade boys lost 31-26 to Springdale Sonora on Monday.

Landon Ward led the Panthers with 16 points, Camden Collins four, Trey Whorton three, and Dusty Buckmon two, Noah Geyer 1.

In Saturday's jamboree, Siloam Springs beat Gentry 32-17 with Ward scoring 16, Whorton six, Max Perkins four, Jackson Ford four and Nathan Lee two. Siloam Springs lost to Gravette 28-24. Ward had 12, Ford six, Perkins and Collins and Nathan Lee with two.
