Boys bowlers win in Rogers

ROGERS -- The Siloam Springs bowling teams competed in a tri-match against Rogers and Rogers Heritage on Thursday at Rogers Bowling Center.

The boys finished first overall with 2,645 points, while Heritage was second at 2,351 and Rogers third at 2,129.

Kyle Rice rolled a 290 and a 223 to lead the Panthers, while Ben Holland rolled a 211, Matt Matheny a 202 and 175, Grant Penn 195, Nathaniel Brown 191 and Karterr Barlow a 184 and 183.

The girls finished third in a close match as Rogers Heritage took first with 1,982 points, followed by Rogers 1,847 and Siloam Springs 1,815.

Maddye Elledge led the Lady Panthers with a 184 while Savannah Carter rolled a 172, Adrian Penn a 153 and Caylin Silvey a 152.

The Panthers and Lady Panthers return to action this week with matches on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. They'll compete against Greenwood and Van Buren on Monday at Midland Family Bowl in Fort Smith. On Tuesday they'll compete against Elkins and Lincoln at Ozark Lanes in Fayetteville. On Friday they'll compete against Gentry at Community Bowl in Siloam Springs.
