1965 Shelby Cobra first place in VFW car show

Photo submitted A 1965 Shelby Cobra owned by John Vest won first place in the 1951 to 1972 category at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1674 car show on June 13. A total of 29 vehicles entered the inaugural event. The car show included six categories and trophies were awarded to the top three vehicles in each category. A 1969 GMC Truck, owned by Wayne Cole of Locust Grove, Okla., was awarded best in show at the event.
