Cheryl Lynn Owens Lowe

Cheryl Lynn Owens Lowe, 47, of Decatur, Ark., died March 17, 2015, at Ozark Community Hospital in Gravette, Ark.

She was born Sept. 9, 1967, in Gravette, Ark., the daughter of Ervin Owens and Retha Carman Owens.

She married Michael Lowe on Oct. 31, 2013. She was involved at one time in Horses for Healing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Whitney Evans of Bella Vista, Ark., and Carmen Ghibaudi and husband Matthew of Oceanside, Calif.; son Derek Vaughn of Denver, Colo.; one grandchild, Jayclin Biddle; and brothers Larry Owens of Lowell, Ark., Dennis Owens of Cherokee City, Okla., Bryan Owens of West Fork, Ark., Ike Owens of Decatur and Aaron Owens of Decatur.

Funeral services were March 21, 2015, at Decatur United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Decatur Cemetery.

Cesar Flores Perez

Cesar Flores Perez, 18, of Gentry, Ark., died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

He was born Nov. 3, 1996, in Dallas, a son of Gilberto Flores and Brenda Perez. He was a Senior at the Ozark Academy in Gentry and enjoyed the Boys Club at the dorms there and loved fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Perez of Gentry; his father Gilberto Flores of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; a brother, Carlos of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Karen of Gentry; maternal grandmother, Cira Rodarte, of Gentry; and paternal grandparents, Roberto and Maria Flores of Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services were held March 21, 2015, at the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Edwin Rosado officiating. Burial was at the Gentry Cemetery.

Robert Lee Schmitz

Robert Lee Schmitz, 81, of Gravette, Ark., died Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to Edward F. Schmitz and Imo Jean Jordan Schmitz.

He married Linda Carol Stewart on April 18, 1959, in Detroit. He attended the Detroit Bible College, Taylor University and Earlham College. He was a minister for 50 years, last pastoring the Faith Bible Church in Gravette. He loved playing golf and baseball and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife; one son, William Alan Schmitz and wife Laurie of Gentry, Ark.; one daughter, Donna Marie Schmitz of Gravette; two brothers, Edward E. Schmitz and wife Jackie, and Jack D. Schmitz and wife Viola, all of Michigan; and two sisters, Lucrecie McFalda and Barbara Schmitz, both of Michigan.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. March 24, 2015, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Visitation will also be available from noon to 2 p.m. March 25 at the Heritage Baptist Church in Gravette.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. March 25, 2015, at the Heritage Baptist Church in Gravette with Dr. Darrell Kepler and Pastor Ed DeLapp officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette.

Richard Ira Wiley

Richard Wiley, 72, of Colcord, Okla., died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Springdale, Ark., .

He was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Oklahoma to Ides "Ira" Wiley and Viola Dutch Mitchell Wiley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Wiley; one sister and one brother.

He is survived by a son, Shawn Wiley and wife Martha of Watts, Okla.; a daughter, Laurie Wiley of Colcord; three brothers, Bob Wiley and wife Edra of Colcord, Roney Wiley and wife Kim of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Harley Wiley of Colcord; three sisters, Julie Gullick and husband William of Colcord, Geraldine Smith of Oklahoma City, and Rita Smith and husband Gilbert of Gore, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., March 29 at First Assembly of God in West Siloam Springs, Okla., with Pastor Terry Scott officiating.
