Track teams compete at Bentonville

BENTONVILLE -- The Siloam Springs High School track and field teams competed in their first outdoor meet of the season Thursday at the Tiger Relays held at Bentonville's Tiger Athletic Complex.

The Lady Panthers scored 12 points and finished 13th out of 16 teams competing. The Panthers scored eight points and finished 15th out of 18 teams.

Lady Panthers

Alexis Duffy finished third in the girls high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 1 inch and scored six points for the Lady Panthers.

Autumn Casey finished 12th in the girls long jump with a distance of 14 feet, 3.75 inches.

Taylor Gay finished eighth in the girls pole vault with a mark of 8 feet, 6 inches and scored one point.

Gay finished 13th in the girls 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.62 seconds.

In the girls 100-meter dash, Casey finished 17th with a time of 13.65 seconds, while Rebekah Hill was 25th with a time of 13.87 seconds and Angelica Lange was 28th at 14.17 seconds.

Hannah Herring finished 10th in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 6 minutes, 8.32 seconds, while Jasmine Guillen placed 12th at 6:11.19.

The Lady Panthers' 4x100-relay team of Lange, Hill, Casey and Gay finished fifth and scored four points with a time of 54.56 seconds.

Duffy placed 10th in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:04.83.

Herring finished 18th in the girls 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 47.60 seconds.

Casey placed 16th in the girls 200-meter dash with a time of 28.64 seconds. Hill finished 18th at 29.07, while Allison Creasey placed 38th at 32.03.

Guillen placed 14th in the girls 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:21.17.

The Siloam Springs 4x400 team of Gay, Casey, Duffy and Hill finished ninth and scored one point with a time of 4:39.72.

Panthers

In the discus, Kris Greene finished 11th overall with a throw of 113 feet, 8 inches, while Cody Washington was 12th at 113-2 and Kyler Duncan 13th at 112-0.

In the boys pole vault, Jordan McWhorter and Blake Jackson both tied for 11th with a height of 11 feet, 6 inches.

In the boys 4x800-meter relay, the team of Nathan Scarbrough, Gavin Efurd, Austin Cooper and Chandler Stewart finished ninth with a time of 9 minutes, 21.07 seconds.

In the boys 110-meter hurdles, Aaron Capehart placed 12th with a time of 19.24 seconds, while Ryke Beever was 15th at 20.13 and Montana Burke 17th at 20.65.

Parker Baldwin placed seventh and scored two points in the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 11.35 seconds, while Trent Lion was 35th at 12.34 and Matt Downing placed 41st at 12.49 seconds.

Elliott Pearson placed 19th in the boys 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:02.21, while Porter Lasater was 21st at 5:03.00.

The Siloam Springs 4x100-meter relay team of Jose Calderon, Downing, Baldwin and McWhorter placed seventh and scored two points with a time of 46.34 seconds.

Scarbrough placed 18th in the boys 400-meter dash with a time of 55.54, while Lion was 31st at 1:00.77 and Zach Becan 39th at 1:07.32.

Cody Casebeer placed 18th in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.24, while Ricky Hughes finished 25th at 56.96.

Calderon placed 14th in the boys 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.79, while Efurd was 18th at 2:18.08, Cooper 27th at 2:23.02.

Baldwin placed ninth in the boys 200-meter dash with a time of 23.62, while McWhorter was 26th at 25.08 and J.D. Horn 39th at 26.60.

Lasater placed 17th in the boys 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:10.10. Conner Humphrey was 23rd at 11:46.44.

Siloam Springs' 4x400-meter relay team of Calderon, Lion, McWhorter and Scarbrough placed fifth and scored four points with a time of 3:45.08.

Up next

The track teams are off until April 2 when they compete in the Gravette Relays.
