The John Brown University Cathedral Choir will conclude its spring tour with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the Berry Performing Arts Center on the campus of John Brown University.

The concert is free and open to the public.

JBU's elite, 70-voice ensemble will perform pieces ranging from the early 17th century to pieces newly composed in 2013. Audiences will hear many different styles of music, from Heinrich Schütz's sublime "Die mit Tränen säen" to Stacey V. Gibbs rousing spiritual "Sit Down Servant." Other pieces include "For the Beauty of the Earth" by Philip Stopford and a new arrangement of an old classic, "America the Beautiful," arranged by Frank La Rocca.

The choir has toured extensively all over the United States and in Northern Ireland. In addition to annual tours, the choir is featured in the annual Candlelight Service at JBU each December.

In 2014 the Cathedral Choir recorded a CD while on a mission tour in Northern Ireland. The CD will be on sale at each of the choir's appearances.
