The Siloam Springs Regional Hospital held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new medical office development on Thursday morning.
Siloam Springs Internal Medicine will be relocating from its current address on Progress Avenue to the new clinic once it is complete, according to Kevin Clement, chief executive officer of Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.
The 10,469-square-foot building will be located on U.S. Highway 412 near Lowe's, according to Cathy Davis, hospital marketing director. The new office space will allow the clinic to expand opportunities for medical and geriatric care, Clement said. The projected completion date for the clinic is Dec. 1.
In addition to office space for the internal medicine clinic, the new facility will include an ex-ray room and 2,600 square feet of office space to lease to other clinics in the future.
Dr. Ralph Meehan and nurse practitioner Jennifer Smith are the health care providers for the internal medicine clinic. The project is affiliated with the hospital and is being developed by 412 East Medical Group, managed by Jeff Kemp. Hart Construction is building the facility.
