Track teams finish 12th in Fort Smith

FORT SMITH -- The Siloam Springs boys track team finished 12th out of 25 teams on Thursday at the McDonald's Relays held at Fort Smith Southside.

The Panthers finished with 20 points overall, while Conway won the meet with 118 points.

J.D. Horn finished 17th in the triple jump with a distance of 38 feet, 3.5 inches.

Zach Ramsey placed 14th in the shot put with a throw of 40-8.5, while Cody Washington was 19th at 39-4.5.

Kyler Duncan placed fourth in the discus and scored five points with a throw of 136-6, while Washington was 15th at 113-7.

Blake Jackson placed ninth in the pole vault at 11-0.

The team of Gavin Efurd, Trent Lyon, Charlie Jones and Chandler Stewart placed 10th in the 4x800-meter relay at 9 minutes, 10.32 seconds.

Aaron Capehart placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.78 and scored three points, while Caleb Ellis was 23rd at 20.23.

Cade Miller took 30th in the 100-meter dash at 12.29, while Coby Roach was 36th at 12.58.

Connor Humphrey placed 15th in the 1,600-meter run at 4:57.13, while Isaac Leachman was 30th at 5:23.53.

The team of Horn, Roach, Pearson and Miller placed 15th in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.40.

Lyon just missed a scoring mark with a time of 52.61 in the 400-meter dash, while Horn was 23rd at 55.29.

Capehart placed sixth in the 300-meter hurdles as 42.56 and scored three points, while Ellis was 22nd at 46.30.

Stewart placed 16th in the 800-meter run at 2:11.41, while Efurd was 19th at 2:15.55.

Horn placed 15th in the 200-meter dash at 24.62, while Cade Miller was 22nd at 25.08.

Elliott Pearson placed fourth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:58.19 and scored five points, while Humphrey was 12th at 10:49.52.

The team of Capehart, Stewart, Efurd and Lyon finished fifth and scored four points in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:36.12.

Girls

The Lady Panthers finished 12th overall out of 20 teams. Conway won the girls meet with 104 points.

Alexis Duffy won the high jump and scored 10 points with a leap of 5 feet, 2 inches.

The team of Caroline Farine, Allika Pearson, Jasmine Guillen and Duffy placed third overall and scored six points with a time of 10:38.93.

Angelica Lange placed 17th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.26.

Guillen placed seventh and scored two points in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:49.55, while Allika Pearson was ninth at 5:54.75.

Gabby Hufford placed 18th in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:08.81.

Farine placed 14th in the 800-meter run at 2:37.33.

Guillen finished sixth and scored three points in the 3,200-meter run at 12:23.80, while Bethany Rodgers was 12th at 13:55.80.

The team of Farine, Hufford, Lange and Duffy placed seventh and scored two points in the 4x400-meter run with a time of 4:32.97.

The varsity track teams will compete on Thursday at the 6A-East Conference Meet at Mountain Home.
