Statewide the group has collected more than 80,000 signatures. A total of 68,000 signatures from verified registered voters are needed to get the measure on the ballot. The organization has set a goal of collecting twice the needed amount to make sure they get the required amount of verifiable signatures, Denham said. The measure lost during the 2012 election by a 2 percent margin and Denham said he is confident it has a good chance of passing this year.
