Book clubs, new library and Zinio

The library now has book club kits available for check-out. There are eight books in each kit and some have a book discussion guide. Some of the titles we have include:

1. "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien

2. "Perfect Peace" by Daniel Black

3. "The Age of Miracles" by Karen Thompson Walker

The loan period for these items is 28 days and can be renewed up to two times unless there is a hold on the kit.

The new library is well under way. And we are getting closer to a move-in date. Feel free to take the time to drive by and look in the windows. Nabholz Construction has done a wonderful job with this building. There will be more details coming.

Zinio for Libraries is now available for those who have a current library card. This is a digital magazine resource that allows magazines to be checked out. Patrons have access to 59 magazines, six of which are published in Spanish. You can keep the magazines for as long as you want and there is no limit to the number of magazines you can check out. The web address is https://www.rbdigital.com/50emagazine/service/zinio/. You will need to create an account with Zinio to download magazines. The magazines are also available off line if you download the Zinio for Libraries app for iPad devices and Zinio.com for android devices. You can skip payment choices and you can uncheck the box in regards to further e-mail if you download Zinio.com. You must have the account set up with rbdigital.com before you download the app to use the collection that is available to us. For more details, please check out the library's website or ask a staff member for help.
