Claude Earl Barnett

Claude Earl Barnett, 75, died July 21, 2016. He was born April 7, 1941, the son of Robert L. "Lee" Barnett and G. Maxine (Strickland) Barnett.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances Corrine Barnett.

He is survived by four brothers, Robert L. "Bob" Barnett Jr., Michael R. "Mike" Barnett and Kenneth J. "Ken" Barnett all of Kansas, Okla., and Wayne C. Barnett of Watts, Okla.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Kansas, Okla., with Pastor Terry Wofford officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery, Mosley, Okla.

Richard Ray 'Rick'Bulger

Richard Ray "Rick" Bulger, 69, of Siloam Springs, Ark., formerly of Prairie Grove, Ark., died Friday, July 22, 2016, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born June 6, 1947, in Fayetteville to Harley James and Clara Ann (Ferguson) Bulger.

He was a truck broker for many years until he retired several years ago. He was a loving husband, dad and friend to many.

He enjoyed going to church, studying the Bible, fishing, playing cards, camping with his buddies, and traveling around in his RV.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vickii Bulger; one sister, Darlene Marshall; one brother, Mike Bulger; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Debbie Bulger of the home; one son, Darrin R. Bulger and wife Tina of Booneville, Ark.; one sister, Patricia Marcus of Las Vegas, Nev.; two step-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday evening at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with the Rev. Coy Siegrist officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.

Terry Crain

Terry Crain, 59, of Tulsa, Okla., died July 22, 2016, in his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1956, in Tulsa the son of Wesley Crain and Wanda (Burchette) Crain.

He was a supervisor for an oil company. He and Rhonda Hammons were married Feb. 9, 1976, in Tulsa.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda of the home; daughter, Shawna Wright and husband Derrick of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three grandchildren; his father, Wesley Crain of Tulsa; sisters, Christie McKinney of Tulsa and Linda Mason of Jenks, Okla.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

Jim L. Smith

Jim L. Smith, 83, of Colcord, Okla., died July 8, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. He was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Texhoma, Okla., the son of James O. Smith and Hazel L. (Ferguson) Smith.

He married Shirley Christian on April 15, 1961. He served our country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer and rancher. He also sold real estate and propane. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Don and Jerry Smith; and sister, Joan Driver.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; sons, Monte Smith and wife Deb of Lamar, Colo., and Steve Smith and wife Rachel of Colcord; daughter, Cindy Heaton of Ulysses, Kan.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Beck of Texhoma and Velma Barton and husband Mex of Canadian, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs with Dr. Randy Rowlan officiating.

Don Soderquist

Don Soderquist, age 82, died on July 21, 2016, due to complications from heart surgery. He was surrounded by his loving wife and children. Don was born on Jan 29,1934, in Chicago, Ill., the eldest son of Roy and Edna (Pedersen) Soderquist.

He married JoAnn Pollard on June 11, 1955, in Wheaton, Ill., the week after graduating from Wheaton College with his bachelor's degree. He served in the U.S. Army Finance Corp from 1957-1959. Don's business career at City Products eventually led him to the presidency of Ben Franklin Stores, and then to a long and extraordinary career at Walmart Stores, in Bentonville, Ark. He retired from his last post as Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman in 2000. He continued to work diligently until the day he passed away -- speaking, coaching, advising and impacting people's lives.

In 1998 the Soderquist Leadership Center at John Brown University (JBU) in Siloam Springs, Ark., was established in his honor as an avenue to continue his work and influence across the world. During his retirement Don authored two books, "The Walmart Way," and "Live Learn Lead." Over the years he was a member of numerous boards of trustees, including a long tenure as the board chair at JBU. He has received awards and recognitions throughout his life.

Don is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his four children, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild: son, Mark Soderquist (Jennifer), Dane (Katie), Anders; daughter, Wendy Togami (Kai), Zac Koons (Anna), Christian Koons (Anna), Kinsley Koons; daughter, Sandie Ford (Rollin), Jessica Salmon (Brian), Riley, Paige Brown (Thomas), Audrey; and son, Jeff Soderquist (Amy), Kacey, Breck; and his sister, Jean Halleen.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at Fellowship Bible NWA at 1051 West Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Ark. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the following organizations: www.lgyc.org, www.newliferanch.com, www.westlawnyouthnetwork.org.
