MacKenzie Christian Turner and David Dantzler Thurstenson were united in marriage in a private ceremony Friday, April 8, 2016, in Fayetteville, Ark.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Kerrie Turner of Siloam Springs, Ark. Her grandparents are Dorenda Flanagan of Charleston, Ark., Wayne and Bonnie Smith, formerly of Grass Valley, Calif., now residents of Siloam Springs, and the late Robert Turner.

The groom is the son of Chris and Sarah Thurstenson of Siloam Springs. He is the grandson of Dan and Shelly Dantzler of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Joe and Awynne Thurstenson of Siloam Springs.

The bride and groom graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 2015 and 2012 respectively. They met as part of the technical support team to theatre productions and continued to date for three years. The bride attended one year at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was on the college yearbook staff. She has plans to enter University of Central Arkansas at Conway and continue her education in ceramics and will be employed by the UCA Advising Office. The groom is employed at Rainey Electronics in Little Rock, Ark., where he is the Audio Video Development and Support Computer Technician.

The couple was honored at a wedding shower Sunday, May 22. The celebration was hosted by the parents of the groom at their home near Siloam Springs.
