Player injured in Warriors' loss

ARKOMA, Okla. -- The Oaks' Warriors Oklahoma Class B playoff game at Arkoma ended early in the fourth quarter Friday when Oaks player Christan Bennett was injured and had to be life flighted off the field via helicopter.

Bennett was taken to the Children's Hospital at Saint Francis in Tulsa, Okla., after suffering a cervical sprain and concussion, according to Oaks head coach C.D. Thompson.

Bennett is expected to make a full recovery, Thompson said.

Arkoma was leading 56-26 at the time of the injury, and that wound up as the final score.

The season ends for Oaks (6-5), which led 26-20 at halftime. Arkoma advances to play Weleetka.

Davenport 52, Watts 6

DAVENPORT, Okla. -- Defending Oklahoma Class B champion Davenport jumped on Watts and ended the Engineers' most successful season in several years with a 7-4 record. Davenport (10-1) advances to the second round against Maysville.
