Junior high football teams lose

SPRINGDALE -- The Siloam Springs ninth-grade football team suffered a 42-0 loss to Springdale Central on Thursday at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of Springdale Har-Ber.

The loss puts the Panthers at 0-6 on the season.

Siloam Springs lost the eighth-grade game 26-6.

Keegan Soucie gave the Panthers (0-7) a 6-0 lead in the first quarter after a 20-yard touchdown run. Central scored three straight touchdowns, including a long pass play right before halftime, to pull ahead 18-6 at halftime.

Both teams play at Bentonville this week with the eighth-graders playing Bentonville Lincoln at 5:30 p.m., followed by the ninth-graders at Bentonville at 7:30 p.m.

Seventh-grade

FARMINGTON -- The Siloam Springs seventh-grade team lost 20-0 to Farmington on Thursday.

The Cardinals scored on three long touchdown runs, while the Panthers came up empty both trips into the red zone.

Siloam Springs won the 'B' game 6-0 on a touchdown run by Neo Harrower.

The seventh-graders return to action a 5:30 p.m. Monday against Springdale Tyson at Panther Stadium.
