BENTONVILLE -- The Siloam Springs ninth-grade football team remained winless on the season Thursday after a 28-7 loss to Bentonville at Tiger Stadium.
The Panthers (0-7) trailed 14-0 at halftime and had two touchdowns called back after penalties in the contest.
Siloam Springs scored its only touchdown in the third quarter on a five-yard run by Mason Lobb. The scoring play was set up by a 60-yard run by Tanner Broyles.
Bentonville Lincoln won the eighth-grade game 48-0. The eighth-graders dropped to 0-8 overall.
Both teams return to action at Panther Stadium on Thursday for their final regular season home game. The eighth-graders play Rogers Kirksey at 5:30 p.m., followed by the freshmen against Rogers High.
