Watts improves to 7-1

PORUM, Okla. -- Watts (Okla.) improved to 7-1 overall and 2-1 in Oklahoma District B-8 with a 28-12 win over Porum on Thursday.

Watts quarterback Clayton Mitchell completed 11 of 16 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed seven times for 42 yards.

Danny Fernandez rushed eight times for 65 yards and a touchdown, while Joe Phifer also rushed for a touchdown.

Phifer caught six passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns.

The Engineers host Keota this Friday in their final home game of the regular season.

Oaks 62, Prue 40

PRUE, Okla. -- Down to just 12 healthy players, Oaks-Mission spread the wealth around in its 62-40 win at Prue (Okla.) on Thursday night.

Three different Warriors played threw passes at quarterback led by Nakoma Romannose who completed 9 of 17 passes for 202 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Trey Fields went 5 of 5 for 61 yards and two touchdowns, while Jess Robbins completed 3 of 8 passes for 28 yards.

Robbins rushed 10 times for 246 yards and three touchdowns, while Fields had seven carries for 71 yards and a score.

Fields caught seven passes for 202 yards and four touchdowns, while Robbins caught four passes for 79 yards. Romannose and Shae Brewer also had receiving touchdowns.

T.J. Cummings and Romannose each led Oaks defensively with 14 tackles, while Fields had 12 tackles and Kawliga Vann and Robbins each with 11 tackles.

The Warriors (5-3, 1-1 B-7) host defending Oklahoma Class B state champion Davenport this Friday.

Ketchum 13, Colcord 6

COLCORD, Okla. -- Colcord's 19-year streak of winning seasons will come to an end in 2016.

The Hornets fell to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in District 7-2A after a loss to Ketchum on Friday. Colcord's last losing season came in 1996 when the Hornets had a 3-7 record.

Colcord plays at Holland Hall on Friday.

Chouteau 32, Kansas 12

CHOUTEAU, Okla. -- Kansas dropped to 0-8 on the season and 0-5 in Distict 7-2A with the loss.

The Comets play at Caney Valley on Friday.
