BENTON -- The Siloam Springs volleyball team earned the 6A-West's No. 3 seed in this week's Class 6A State Tournament after winning at Benton 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-14) in the third place match of the 6A-West Conference Tournament.

The Class 6A Volleyball Tournament began at Lake Hamilton on Tuesday. Siloam Springs faced East No. 6 seed Searcy in the opening round. Results were not available at presstime. The winner moved on to today's quarterfinals match against No. 2 seed Jonesboro.
In the win against Benton, Chloe Price led the Lady Panthers (17-17) with 15 kills along with 15 digs, 11 assists, two aces and two block assists. Shaylon Sharp had eight kills, 44 digs, one ace and three block assists. Ellie Lampton had 11 kills, four aces, one block assist. Madison Cooper, Allie Bowman and Katie Kendrick each had two kills, while Cooper had four block assists and Bowman and Kendrick each with one block assist. Bowman also had an ace, while Alexis Roach had one kill and one block assist. Meg Gray had 20 assists, 10 digs, 3 aces and one kill. Andrea Lowry led with 45 digs, while Kelsey Lewis had eight and Kendrick six. Lowry also had one kill, and Britain Castagna had one ace.
