The Siloam Springs junior high cross country teams competed Saturday in the annual Panther Cross Country Classic held on the Simmons Course.

The junior high girls finished fourth overall while the junior high boys were fifth with both teams competing in the Class 5A-7A division.

"The rain held off and it turned into a perfect day to have the meet," said Siloam Springs junior high coach Conlan Efurd. "There were estimated over 3,000 runners and family members that attended the races this weekend. I couldn't be more pleased with the assistance from the community. Parents are so willing to give their time for the students and the cross country program. It's what makes our meet run so smoothly."
