Forming an opinion or two

Just a couple of notes on things I have read lately that have helped me form a political opinion on our city and national levels.

In Matthew 6:6, the Bible advises us to pray silently in a closet rather than barking our prayers in the synagogue, church, on a street corner -- or at Siloam Springs City Board meetings!

From the conditions of our country, and to the exterior and interior moral values of our city, I would not be afraid to voice an opinion that God is not hearing their appeals to help them make decisions about drugs and alcohol for our citizens to purchase in Siloam Springs. Perhaps a quieter and a more inward plea for Godly guidance and help would be more appropriate.

If the demented Emperor Caligula of ancient Rome could appoint his horse to the Roman Senate, who is to say by today's standards, that the horse could not do a better job than his fellow human senators.

In closing, think about it!
