Junior high teams compete against Gravette

The Siloam Springs girls basketball team picked up a 50-35 victory over Gravette on Monday night.

The Lady Panthers led 14-9 after the first quarter and 23-20 at halftime.

Siloam Springs pulled ahead 36-29 going into the fourth quarer.

Mia Hevener led the Lady Panthers (5-2) with 14 points, while Julia Jackson had 12, Sydney Moorman eight, Quincy Efurd and Jadyn Still each with six and Makenna Thomas with four.

The ninth-grade boys defeated the Lions 30-21.

Siloam Springs led 9-4 after the first quarter and 16-11 at halftime. The Panthers (5-2) pulled ahead 22-11 going into the fourth quarter after outscoring the Lions 6-0 in the third quarter.

Elijah Coffey led the Panthers with 10 points, while Max Perkins and Cam Collins each had six, Jared Clark four and Ethan Drake and Breck Soderquist each with two.

Eighth-grade

The eighth-grade boys picked up their first win of the season 42-15 against Gravette.

Josh Stewart and Carter Winesburg each scored nine points to lead the Panthers (1-1), while Caden Pharr had eight and Jedidiah Hunter added seven. Jaxson Kooistra added three points, while Yanni Trinidad, Preston Moody and Brendan Lashley each scored two.

The eighth-grade girls defeated Gravette 31-19.

Hannah Riley led Siloam Springs (1-1) with 12 points, while Reina Tiefel had 11, Naomi Boyd 4, Sidney Pfeiffer 2 and Halle Hernandez 2.

Seventh-grade

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade girls earned their first win of the season Monday, defeating Gravette 35-4

The Lady Panthers led 12-2 after the first quarter and 21-2 at halftime and 30-2 going into the fourth quarter.

Grace Price and Brooke Ross each led with eight points, while Kalianhni Jacklick had six, Brooke Smith five, Faith Ellis, Sydney Oma, Sophie Stepheson and Audrey Sears each with two and Laila Dadula with one.

The seventh-grade boys defeated Gravette 39-7 to improve to 2-1.

Nathan Vachon led the Panthers with 11 points, while Conner Clayton had eight, Jonathan Graves five, Gabriel Cruz and Levi Fox with four each, Camden Blackfox three and Jaxson Spence two

The ninth-graders return to action on Thursday at home against Providence Academy. The eighth-graders host Rogers Oakdale on Thursday. The seventh-graders are hosting a jamboree on Saturday.
