Eighth-grade girls' win streak ends at three

BENTONVILLE -- The Siloam Springs eighth-grade girls saw their three-game winning streak end at Bentonville Lincoln on Monday night by a score of 32-31.

The Lady Leopards took a 10-4 lead after the first quarter, but Siloam Springs pulled within 14-10 at halftime.

Lincoln extended its lead to 24-19 going into the fourth quarter, where it outscored the Lady Leopards 12-8.

Julia Jackson led Siloam Springs (6-8) with nine points, while Sydney Moorman and Mia Hevener each scored six. Makenna Thomas added four points, while Quincy Efurd had two.

Morgan Donda led Lincoln with 21 points.

The eighth-grade boys were also defeated at Lincoln. Complete results were not available at presstime.

The eighth-grade teams return to action on Monday, Feb. 13, at home against Springdale Lakeside.
