Eighth-graders season ends in tournament

ROGERS -- The Siloam Springs eighth grade girls were defeated 45-27 by Rogers Elmwood in the I-49 Basketball Challenge hosted at Elmwood on Thursday.

The loss ends the Lady Panthers' season at 8-10 overall.

Siloam Springs trailed 11-6 after the first quarter and 28-11 at halftime. Elmwood carried a 33-17 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Mia Hevener led the Lady Panthers with eight points, while Jadyn Still had seven, Julia Jackson and Micah Curry each with four and Madi Race and Makenna Thomas each with two.

Bentonville Lincoln ended the Siloam Springs' eighth-grade boys season on Wednesday with a 41-20 victory. The Panthers, who dealth with multiple injuries, end the season at 4-14.
