The Siloam Springs Panther basketball teams swept three games from Alma. The Panthers won 42-35. The Lady Panthers won 66-47 and the Panther Junior Varsity squad also won a 42-35 decision.

The Lady Panthers blew Alma out of the game in the first quarter, taking a 23-4 lead. They coasted in for the 66-47 victory and improved their record to 7-6.

The boys won their 5th game in a row with their 42-35 win over the Airedales.The Panthers were 11-3 on the season.

The Panther JV squad won 42-35, with Brad Dalrymple scoring 14 points and Tony Brown adding 13.

The Siloam Springs Panthers ACE team became the Siloam Springs Phoenix when it rose from the ashes of defeat to win the season's match.

"This was a very good match for the first of the season," Academic Competition in Education co-coordinator El Nading said after the match.

Lincoln High School's ACE team hosted the match with Prairie Grove and Siloam Springs.

ACE is an academic competition among 13 area high schools in which each team answers questions to earn points. Each of the team's scores from a series of matches are totaled to determine team placement in the finals competition.

The final score was Siloam 47, Prairie Grove 38 and Lincoln 32.
