The Siloam Springs bowling team hopes to peak at the right time this season, and it looks like the Panthers and Lady Panthers are starting to do that.

The bowling teams picked up a pair of home wins this past week at Community Bowl in Siloam Springs. On Thursday, the Panthers and Lady Panthers swept Van Buren, and just two days earlier, Siloam Springs swept Elkins on Tuesday.

"Our teams are working very hard and I think our work is paying off," said Siloam Springs head coach Ken Bolinger. "I am very excited by their work. We still have a ways to go. It is always an uphill battle to qualify for the state tournament. That is primarily our focus."

Siloam Springs vs. Van Buren

The Lady Panthers won a close match with Van Buren on Thursday, knocking down 1,856 pins to Van Buren's total of 1,765.

Baylie Mullikin led the Lady Panthers with games of 203 and 167, while America Mejai rolled a 168 and Tessa Brown and Misti Krueger each had games of 158.

Siloam Springs won the boys game 2,649 to 2,524.

Shane Hanan led the Panthers with high games of 257 and 238, while Ben Holland rolled a 210 and 213. Karterr Barlow scored a 199, while Jordan Baker had a 196, Nathaniel Brown 182 and Garrett Howell 180.

Siloam Springs vs. Elkins

The Lady Panthers defeated Elkins on Tuesday 1,883 to 1,565.

Sydney Smith led the Lady Panthers with a score of 178, while Erica Springer rolled a 166, Christine Ingerson 155, Baylie Mullikin 153 and Misti Krueger 151.

The Panthers defeated Elkins 2,412 to 1,650.

Nathaniel Brown led the Panthers with a score of 218, while Shane Hanan rolled a 215, Karterr Barlow 200 and Garrett Howell 194.

Siloam Springs vs. Fort Smith Northside, Southside

Both teams participated in a tri-match in Fort Smith against Northside and Southside on Jan. 5.

The Lady Panthers rolled a 1,946 to defeat Southside (1,389) and Northside (1,292). Misti Krueger rolled games of 183 and 142, while Baylie Mullikin had a 158 and 143, Holly Green 155, Tessa Brown 156 and 148 and Rhi Spence 141.

The Panthers suffered their first loss of the season, finishing with 2,420 pins and placing behind Southside (2,756) and Northside (2,514).

Garrett Howell led the Panthers with a game of 210, while Shane Hanan had a 208, Jordan Barker 201 and 192, Patrick Dowdy 202, Luke Reicheneker 198, Nathaniel Brown 181, Ben Holland 180 and Karterr Barlow 196.

The Panthers and Lady Panthers return to action on Tuesday in Springdale against Springdale High and Har-Ber. On Thursday, the Panthers will host Rogers High and Heritage at Community Bowl. The match was originally scheduled to be in Rogers, but it was flip-flopped with a home match earlier this season.
