Eighth-grade girls win at Rogers Kirksey

ROGERS -- The Siloam Springs eighth-grade girls picked up a win Monday night 23-16 at Rogers Kirksey.

The Lady Panthers (3-6) led 6-4 after the first quarter and 13-6 at halftime before pulling ahead 19-10 going into the fourth quarter.

Jadyn Still and Julia Jackson each scored seven points to lead Siloam Springs, while Makenna Thomas chipped in five points and Sydney Moorman four.

Eighth-grade boys

The eighth-grade boys, playing without three starters, suffered their sixth straight loss, 55-24, to Kirksey. The Panthers are now 2-7 on the season.

Individual scorers from Monday's game were not available at presstime.

Up next

Both eighth-grade teams host Fayetteville Woodland on Thursday inside the Panther Den at Siloam Springs High School. A girls B game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., followed by the boys B game at 5 p.m., the boys game at 5:30 p.m. and the girls at 6:45.
