Seventh-grade boys win four straight

SPRINGDALE -- The Siloam Springs seventh-grade boys wrapped up a successful last few days with a 53-31 win over Springdale J.O. Kelly at George Junior High on Thursday.

Joshua Stewart pumped in 29 points for the Panthers (9-3), while Carter Winesburg scored seven, Hunter Talley five, Brendon Lashley three, Camden Pharr, Devin Higgs, Jace Sutulovich and Zach Jones each with two and Jedidiah Hunter with one.

On Wednesday, the seventh-grade Panthers beat Gentry 35-13. Winesburg led with 13 points in that win, while Stewart had 12, and Higgs, Jones, Pharr, Talley all with two apiece.

Siloam Springs won the B game against Gentry 12-2, with Patrick Church, Yanni Trinidad and Ezra Zaidner each scoring four points.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, the Panthers played in a jamboree against Gravette and Providence Academy.

Siloam Springs beat Gravette 30-13, led by Stewart's 16 points, while Winesburg, Talley and Higgs each scored four and Hunter with two.

The Panthers beat Providence Academy 18-16 as Stewart led with eight points, Talley with four and Hunter, Pharr and Sutulovich each with two.

Seventh-grade girls

The Maroon Lady Panthers rallied to beat J.O. Kelly 19-18 on Thursday after being down most of the game.

Hannah Riley and Halle Hernandez each scored six points, while Reina Tiefel had three and Carly Carswell and Bethany Markovich each with two.

The White team won its game 4-0 with Amona West scoring both baskets for the Lady Panthers.

On Wednesday, the Lady Panthers beat Gentry 18-14. Hernandez led with 10 points, while Sidney Pfieffer had six and Tiefel two.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, the Lady Panthers beat Gravette 21-15 in a jamboree game. Hernandez led with 11 points, while Tiefel had six, Hannah Riley and Jessica Dozier each with two.

Up next

The Panthers and Lady Panthers host Springdale Hellstern on Monday with the girls game at 4:30 p.m., followed by the boys game.
