Robert Leslie Bellamy

Robert Leslie Bellamy, 60, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away on July 11, 2017 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born on December 1, 1956 in Watsonville, California. He was preceded in death by siblings Brenda Bellamy and Harold Ray Bellamy.

Left to cherish Robert's memory are his mother, Raylene Smith; stepfather James Smith; a son, Heath Bellamy; a grandson, Jaxon Bellamy; sisters Debbie Felkins and Christy Farrington; stepsister Desi Keel; and stepbrothers John Smith and Jimmy Smith.

No funeral arrangements have been made at this time. The family will have a private service in Robert's memory at a later date.

Mary "Nancy" Copeland

Mary "Nancy" Copeland, 72, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died July 10, 2017, in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born July 30, 1944, in Union, Ark., to Jesse Ray Copeland and Ruth Franks Copeland. She graduated from Salem High School in Salem, Ark., in 1962. She earned her Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark. She worked as an educator for over 30 years. She was appointed by former Governor and President Bill Clinton to help set policy and standards for teacher's certification for public schools in the state. She wrote numerous grants for the public school system through the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs.

She is survived by one brother, Jack Copeland and wife Glenda of Colcord, Okla.; and two nephews, Randy Copeland and wife Leah of Fayetteville and Clint Copeland and wife Sandra of Colcord.

Funeral services were July 14, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Pastor Grant Barnett officiating. Burial was at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City, Ark.

Virginia May Taylor

Virginia May Taylor, 74, of Gentry, Ark., died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at The Maples Nursing Home in Springdale, Ark.

She was born on July 12, 1943 in Noel, Mo., to Harvey McQuillan and Anna McGrew McQuillan. She worked 28 years for Peterson Foods and was a member of the Take Off Pounds Sensibly Club. She loved flowers, especially irises and purple African violets, Hallmark movies, fulfilling her sweet tooth with Butter Pecan Ice Cream, being on-the-go, and her family.

She is preceded in death by one brother, Edward McQuillan; and two sisters, Laura Jones and Bertha Berry.

She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Taylor and wife Cindy of Owasso, Okla., Clifford Taylor of Gentry; three daughters, Cathy Jones of Gentry, Elizabeth Skaggs and husband Kenny of Springtown, Ark., and Regena Cotrill and husband Danny of Disney, Okla.; one brother, Robert McQuillan and wife Bonnie of Anderson, Mo.; one sister, Carol Ames and husband Sammie of Noel; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 17 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel with Pastor Mike Demoss officiating. Burial will be at Dickson Cemetery.
