Comets explode in second half win over Chouteau

KANSAS, Okla. -- The Kansas (Okla.) Comets exploded for 34 points in the second half to run away with a 40-0 victory over Chouteau (Okla.) on Thursday night at Dee Neel Stadium.

Running back Daris Glass rushed for 203 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Keelan Davis rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns and also threw a pair of touchdown passes -- both to Aaron Reeder.

Wyatt Church also scored a touchdown for the Comets (3-5, 2-3 District 2A-7), who led 6-0 at halftime.

Kansas hosts Caney Valley this Friday.

Colcord 56, Ketchum 12

KETCHUM, Okla -- Colcord evened its record to 4-4 overall and improved to 2-2 in District 2A-7 with a lopsided road victory at Ketchum on Thursday.

Spencer Earp completed 10 of 14 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns, while Ryan Castleman completed a 36-yard pass and Blake Gonzalez a 20-yard pass.

Earp ran for 177 yards on 11 carries and scored three touchdowns. Doty had 55 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Castleman caught five passes for 156 yards and two scores, while Matthew Farris had four catches for 87 yards and a score.

Colcord hosts Holland Hall on Friday.

Watts 68, Prue 20

WATTS, Okla. -- The Engineers evened their record to 4-4 overall and improved to 1-2 in District B-8 with a big win over Prue on Thursday night.

Watts quarterback Blayne Harlin threw seven touchdown passes and ran for three scores.

Brendan Garriott caught three touchdown passes, while Danny Fernandez caught two and A.J. Tucker and Adarain Adams each caught one.

Watts plays at Keota this Friday.

Prue 56, Oaks 12

OAKS, Okla. -- The Warriors fell to 0-8 on the season after a loss to Prue.

Oaks scored its touchdowns on a pass from Jake Brackett to Aaron Budder and a TD run by Donovan Hammer.

The Warriors play at Davenport this week.
