Jesse Ray Herrmann

Jesse Ray Herrmann, infant son, of Jesse and Brittanie Herrmann, of Kansas, Okla., was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Sept. 5, 2017 and died Sept. 12, 2017. Services are pending.

Thomas Dewitt Surface

Thomas Dewitt Surface, 68, of Maysville, Ark., died Sept. 13, 2017, at his home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1948, on the Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Neb., to Ralph Haven Surface and Mabel Violet Sullivan Surface. He held various occupations including law enforcement, oil rig roughneck and dump truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing basketball and watching sports. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War Era.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Earnest Surface; and one sister, Earlene King.

He is survived by two daughters, Stacy Robertson of Gravette, Ark., and Stefanie Furrow of Decatur, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral service with military honors will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, with Pastor Bruce Potter officiating.
