MOUNTAIN HOME -- The Siloam Springs golf teams opened their season Monday with the first day of the Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational held at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.

The Panthers were tied with tournament host Mountain Home for 10th after the first day with a score of 368.

Defending 6A champion Jonesboro was in the lead with a 302, followed by Cabot and Rogers at 303, Little Rock Catholic 305, North Little Rock 307, Greenwood and Conway at 322, Marion 337, Shiloh Christian 352 and Siloam Springs and Mountain Home with 368 each.

Senior Karson Clement led the Panthers with an 81, while seniors Chase Beyer and Trey Jackson shot 93 and 95, respectively. Junior Evan Sauer shot a 99, while senior Josh Johnson was at 106.

The Lady Panthers were tied for fourth going into the second day.

Host Mountain Home was in the lead at 258, followed by Greenwood 264, Cabot 274, Siloam Springs 287, Conway 321, Jonesboro 336 and Marion 350.

Senior Kaitlyn Robinson led the Lady Panthers with an 87, while senior McKenzie Blanchard shot a 96, senior Jaelee Snyder 104, senior Kendall McCormick 106 and junior Chloe Rocha 134.
