Siloam Springs Community Clinic hosts 13th annual fundraiser: A Gatsby Party

Siloam Springs Community Clinic will host their 13th annual fundraiser event to celebrate a long history of strong community support in Siloam Springs.

This event highlights the individuals and organizations that make the mission of "providing health care for all" a reality in Siloam Springs. Last year alone, Community Clinic served over 2,200 Siloam Springs community members with quality health care -- that's nearly one in seven Siloam Springs residents. All proceeds directly benefit Community Clinic Siloam Springs' patients.

This year's theme is "A Gatsby Party." Guests will enjoy 1920s-era décor and entertainment in the new Brick Ballroom in historic downtown Siloam Springs. The evening will include live music from the JM Band, a four-course meal catered by Marketplace Grill, local craft beer from Ivory Bill Brewing Company and wine, and live and silent auctions with contributions from local and national vendors. Dr. Larry VanDyck and his wife Genia are honorary chairs of the event.

The 13th Annual Siloam Springs Fundraiser will fall at the end of National Community Health Center Week, which is a national campaign from Aug. 12 through 18 to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America's Health Centers and the dedicated staff who bring health care to those that need it most.

Community Clinic observed National Health Center Week 2018 with a public celebration on Aug. 14 at the Jones Center for Nonprofits JTL Shop in Springdale, 614 E. Emma Avenue. The event included presentations about Community Clinic, the Community Health Center for Benton and Washington Counties.

Community Clinic serves over 36,000 patients at 14 locations offering quality medical and dental care.

America's nationwide network of Community Health Centers (CHC) serves more than 27 million people, saving the U.S. health care system $24 billion annually by reducing visits to emergency rooms and unnecessary hospital admissions. They serve six percent of the nation's Medicaid patients for less than two percent of the Medicaid budget. CHC's lower the cost of children's primary care by approximately 37 percent. The clinics maintain patient satisfaction levels of nearly 100 percent.

CHC's treat the whole patient, emphasizing preventive medicine and healthy lifestyle choices. Their long record of success makes Community Health Centers one of the few programs earning strong bipartisan support in Congress.

Tickets to the fundraiser are $75. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to @cclinicnwa on Facebook or visit www.communityclinicnwa.org/siloam-springs-fundraiser.
