Bowlers split with Gentry in Bi-Tournament

The Siloam Springs bowling teams were in action this past Thursday in a bi-tournament against Gentry at Community Bowl in Siloam Springs.

The Panthers defeated Gentry by a score of 3,934 to 3,222.

Siloam Springs led at the end of the first game 1,090 to 880, and the Panthers pulled ahead 2,186 to 1,713 after a another big win in game two.

Siloam Springs led 3,161 to 2,579 going into the baker games, where the Panthers bowled 170, 209, 189 and 205 to hit their final total of points. Leading the Panthers were Tristan Moose 233 and 197, Nate Wolfe 199, Jakob Elledge 198, 188 and 163, Jacob Drum 189 and 183, Jordan Barker 188, 176 and 169 and Nathaniel Brown 190, 186 and 167.

The Lady Panthers were defeated by Gentry 3,085 to 3,068.

Siloam Springs led 881 to 762 after the first game, but Gentry won the second game 845 to 818. Gentry won the third match 913 to 772 heading into the baker games, where the Lady Panthers bowled 180, 137, 158 and 122.

High games for Siloam Springs were Baylie Mullikin 195, Tessa Brown 189 and 157, Tyler King 177, Holly Green 159 and Sydney Smith 156.

SSHS defeats Elkins, Lincoln

The Panthers and Lady Panthers defeated Elkins and Lincoln in a road match played on Tuesday.

The girls finished with 2,001 points to Elkins' 1,610 and Lincoln's 1,075. The Lady Panthers also had baker games of 223 and 149.

Rolling high games were Hannah Barker 221 and 183, Holly Green 169 and 157, Tessa Brown 161. Barker's 221 was the first "clean game" ever for the Lady Panthers, meaning she had all strikes and spares.

The Panthers finished with a 2,522 while Elkins had 2,428 and Lincoln 1,386.

High games for Siloam Springs were Jordan Barker 256, Jacob Drum 201 and 191, Nathaniel Brown 195 and Jackson Knight 180.

Boys defeat Heritage

The Panthers defeated Rogers Heritage on Jan. 25, 2,481 to 2,211.

The Panthers rolled baker games of 199 and 202.

Jacob Drum led Siloam Springs with a 215 and 219, while Jakob Elledge rolled a 203, Tristian Moose 196, Nate Wolfe 189 and Nathaniel Brown 184.

Heritage defeated the Siloam Springs girls 2,047 to 1,859. Hannah Barker led the Lady Panthers with a 157.

Bowlers sweep Elkins

Siloam Springs swept Elkins on Jan. 18. The girls won 1,957 to 1,460.

Rolling high games for the Lady Panthers were Holly Green 171, Tessa Brown 169, Hannah Barker 161 and Sydney Smith 161 and 154.

The boys defeated the Elks 2,292 to 2,266. Leading the Panthers Nathaniel Brown 194, Jordan Barker 188, Tristian Moose 178, Jackson Knight 177 and Jakob Elledge 175.

Tri-match at Springdale

Both teams finished second in a tri-match against Springdale and Har-Ber on Jan. 16.

The Lady Panthers finished with a 1,768, falling short against Springdale's 1,848 but beating Har-Ber's 1,535.

Baylie Mullikin led Siloam Springs with a 176, while Hannah Barker rolled a 163 and 150.

The Panthers also defeated Har-Ber with a 2,066 to Har-Ber's 1,913, but Springdale won the overall match with a 2,274.

Jacob Drum led Siloam Springs with a 191, while Jakob Elledge rolled 190 and 170, Jackson Knight 187 and Jordan Barker 174.

The Panthers travel to Fast Lanes in Lowell at 11 a.m. on Tuesday for the 7A/6A-West Conference Tournament. The boys are defending conference champions from 2017.
