Russellville defeats Siloam Springs basketball teams

Russellville 57, Siloam Springs 48

The Lady Panthers cut a double-digit Russellville lead to 53-48 with less than a minute remaining, but Siloam Springs could get no closer as the Lady Cyclones swept the season series.

Siloam Springs (8-18, 4-7) led 13-12 after the first quarter, but Russellville outscored the Lady Panthers 16-3 in the second quarter to take a 28-16 lead at halftime. The Lady Cylones led 39-24 going into the fourth quarter.

Morgan Vaughn led the Lady Panthers with 19 points, while Hadlee Hollenback had 14, Shelby Johnson 10, Kenlie Noel three and Jael Harried two.

Anna Myers led Russellville with 16 points, while Lee McAllister had 14 and Cara Davis 10.

Russellville 56, Siloam Springs 46

The Cyclones grabbed an early lead and held on to earn a season split with the Panthers, who defeated Russellville on Jan. 16.

The Cyclones led 12-8 after the first quarter and 30-19 at halftime. Russellville extended its lead to 47-33 going into the fourth quarter.

Spencer Lashley led Siloam Springs (6-20, 4-7) with 11 points, while Murphy Perkins had seven, Diego Flores six, Karson Clement and Thad Wright five each, Jordan Stewart four, Evan Sauer three, Jacob Wakefield and Sam Everett each with two and Tyler Pettit with one.

Kade Shaffer led a balanced Russellville attack with 10 points.
