Ninth-grade teams lose at Fayetteville White

FAYETTEVILLE -- The Siloam Springs ninth-grade boys were defeated 54-32 by Fayetteville White on Monday.

White jumped out to a 21-4 lead after the first quarter and took a 34-18 lead at halftime. The Bulldogs led 46-21 going into the fourth quarter.

Breck Soderquist led the Panthers (9-11, 2-7) with 11 points, while Jackson Ford had seven, Dusty Buckner five, Solomon Hufford, Colin Evers, Jared Clark and Nick Gray each with two and Will Gryder with one.

The ninth-grade girls were also defeated by Fayetteville White. Results were not available at presstime.

The ninth-graders wrap up their season on Thursday at Bentonville West.

Eighth-grade

The eighth-grade girls lost 46-22 at Rogers Kirksey on Monday.

The Lady Panthers trailed 13-3 after the first quarter and 24-7 at halftime. Kirksey pulled ahead 39-15 going into the fourth quarter.

Halle Hernandez led Siloam Springs (6-11) with 10 points, while Reina Tiefel had six points, seventh-grader Brooke Ross four points and Bethany Markovich two points.

The eighth-grade boys were defeated by Kirksey. Results were not available at presstime.

The eighth-graders host Rogers Elmwood on Thursday.
