JBU tuition increase lowest in three decades

John Brown University has announced its lowest rate increase on tuition in three decades, according to a release from the school.

The JBU Board of Trustees said the 2.75 percent increase for undergraduate tuition, fees, room and board for the 2018-19 school year amounts to $968, which also is the lowest dollar amount change in 14 years. The increase brings the total cost of tuition, fees, room to $36,152.

The university also announced new flexible dining options and extended cafeteria hours to "better meet the needs of the diverse student body," according to the release. New meal plans relieve restrictions on when and how students can use the plans, which JBU believes provides added value for students using the plans. In addition to standard meal plans, there are enhancements and flex options available for between $20-$300.
