Greenwood sweeps Siloam Springs teams in basketball

Greenwood 68, Siloam Springs 36

GREENWOOD -- Greenwood outscored Siloam Springs 53-26 after the first quarter on its way to a 5A/6A District 1 victory on Friday at H.B. Stewart Bulldog Arena.

The Bulldogs led 15-10 after the first quarter and pulled ahead 38-23 at halftime. Greenwood extended that lead to 59-28 going into the fourth quarter, which was played with a running clock.

Spencer Lashley led Siloam Springs (5-15, 3-3) with eight points, while Karson Clement had six, Jordan Stewart and Evan Sauer each with five, Gage Weaver four and Drew Vachon, Dyson Bagsby, Diego Flores and Murphy Perkins each with two.

The Panthers return to action Tuesday for a nonconference game with Providence Academy at Panther Activity Center.

Greenwood 65, Siloam Springs 35

GREENWOOD -- The Lady Panthers fell to 6-14 overall and 2-4 in 5A/6A District 1 play with the loss to Greenwood on Friday in H.B. Stewart Bulldog Arena.

Siloam Springs trailed 26-13 at halftime and the Lady Bulldogs pulled ahead 50-34 going into the fourth quarter, where it outscored the Lady Panthers 15-1.

Chloe Price led Siloam Springs with 12 points, while Morgan Vaughn had nine, Hadlee Hollenback eight, Shelby Johnson and Kenlie Noel each with three and Kirsten Williams-Loftis one.

The Lady Panthers return to action Tuesday for a nonconference game with Providence Academy at Panther Activity Center.
