Trio of men's basketball players recognized

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named a trio of John Brown University student-athletes to its 2017-18 Honors Court, recognizing those basketball players that excelled academically this past season.

JBU's Honors Court recipients were junior Josh Bowling, senior Joshua Rhodius and junior Benjamin Smith. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be academically a junior or senior and a varsity player; have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year; and must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.

Rhodius graduated in May with his degree in engineering while Bowling, a biochemistry major, and Smith, majoring also in engineering, are two of nine returning letterwinners for the Golden Eagles in 2018-19.
