The Kansas (Okla.) girls basketball team picked up two wins on Thursday and Friday to advance to the consolation finals Saturday of the Class 3A Area I Tournament in Cleveland, Okla.
The Lady Comets were scheduled to play Cascia Hall on Saturday night with the winner advancing to the Class 3A State Tournament this week. Results were not available at press time.
Kansas won two straight elimination games on Thursday and Friday to reach Saturday's game.
The Lady Comets defeated Alva 54-39 on Thursday and then picked up a 34-27 win over Newkirk on Friday.
Cascia Hall defeated Kansas earlier in the regional tournament finals 37-31, but Cascia Hall lost to Adair 59-45 in the championship of the area tournament, setting up Saturday's rematch.
